Our expeller-pressed sweet Almond Oil makes an excellent massage oil because it absorbs through our pores slowly. Almond Oil is a luxurious, non-greasy moisturizer that leaves your skin soft, silky and smooth. It is excellent for all skin types (unless you have a nut allergy). We add in some lavender essential oil, an aromatherapeutic treasure, to promote relaxation and natural healing for lungs, sinuses and skin. Float a few drops of Almond Oil in your bath. The warm water will gently vaporize the lavender essential oil. Lie back and breathe deeply. Store Almond Oil in a cool place. Compared to our Jojoba Oil, it has a shorter shelf life. That’s why we offer it in 2- and 4-ounce bottles.

Our extra virgin organic coconut oil delivers the rich, yummy fragrance of pure coconut. It is good enough to eat but we recommend it as a superior skin moisturizer. Coconut oil is packed with nutrients that strengthen and protect your skin. It also promotes healing, penetrating deeply to nurture underlying tissues. Apply coconut oil liberally on your hands and feet at night. It is slow to absorb so we suggest wearing gloves and socks over the oil. You’ll find your skin is velvety soft in the morning. Many people also enjoy coconut oil for healthy hair and scalp. They rub it in their hair and leave it for about an hour before washing it out. One caveat: we don’t recommend coconut oil on your face because it may clog pores. Coconut oil is a natural butter that melts at 76°F. At room temperature it can sometimes be solid, sometimes liquid. Even if it’s solid, it’s creamy enough to scoop out a bit to melt it in your hands. If it’s liquid, be careful not to spill while removing the jar lid. Our coconut oil has no preservatives. If you don’t use it regularly, keep it refrigerated to extend its freshness. One final word about our coconut oil: our facilities are not certified organic so we cannot use the title “Organic Coconut Oil.” However, in our list of ingredients, we can employ the term organic because that’s what this is.

This golden cold pressed oil mimics sebum, the naturally protective secretions of your sebaceous glands. Use it liberally after your shower. Applied directly to your face, hands, arms, torso, legs and feet, jojoba provides a noncomedogenic, antimicrobial moisturizer for healthy skin. It also promotes healing for dry or itchy skin. Scientifically, jojoba is considered a liquid wax. As a wax, it waterproofs and protects your skin from daily irritants. It will absorb very quickly and leave no oily coating. In addition, it contains beneficial Vitamin E (natural tocopherols) and small amounts of phospholipids. The origin of this botanical treasure is the desert area of Mexico and the southwest United States. You may pronounce its name “ho-ho-bah,” giving it the Spanish pronunciation, or “joe-joe-bah,” as it is in English. Our Jojoba Oil is unscented, but for your added pleasure, you may order it lightly fragranced with lavender and rosemary.

While our refined shea butter is odorless and colorless, our Unrefined Shea Butter smells slightly nutty and is beige in color. This raw butter retains treasured nutrients, including vitamins A, E, F and K. Shea butter can treat eczema, stretch marks, dry scalp, chapped lips, rashes, and minor burns. (If your skin is sensitive, first test for a reaction on a small patch of the affected area.) Try a nightly application of shea butter on your hands, elbows, knees and feet. The butter absorbs slowly. If you like, cover your treated hands with gloves, your feet with socks. When you wake, you’ll have the softest skin ever! Shea butter can help with acne. You might think to treat pimples by drying skin out, but that causes pores to produce more sebum, the body’s natural oil. It is excess sebum that clogs pores. Instead of drying your skin out, moisturize your washed face with a dime-sized dollop of shea butter before going to bed. This butter is made from the edible nuts of the West African shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa [previously Butyrospermum parkii]). For centuries, the butter has been revered as an anti-aging cream and moisturizing skin protector. Herbaria Unrefined Shea Butter has no added preservatives. If you’re not using it frequently, store the jar in the refrigerator to extend shelf life beyond six months or so.
