Natural Citronella & Marigold soap contains a number of essential oils known to repel insects, including, of course, citronella essential oil, which has been used safely for years. Lemongrass, related to citronella, also repels insects and smells fresh and clean. We include lemon eucalyptus, recommended as effective by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. To top it off, this bar has catnip essential oil, reported to be ten times stronger than DEET. Unlike DEET (N, N-diethyl-m-toluamide), this soap is all natural and smells great—sunny and bright, nostalgic of a hundred summer days. You may enjoy it even if you're not heading outdoors.
